This old
family house in Zubiri (Navarra-Spain), right on the road
to Santiago, was refurbished in 2008 bearing in mind this idea.
Given the need to put up groups, families or single travellers,
the hostel offers a wide range of kinds of accommodation and
services. It has two double rooms and one for four people. It
also has five dorms, which sleep from eight to twelve people.
"The hazel stick”
takes its name from this simple but effective tool, a must
for the traveller and the pilgrim.
The
hostel provides travellers with this other essential service,
with the taste of things that are well done. Rafael and
Itziar, its owners, have created the first hostel with
charm in Navarre (Spain), a pioneer in its conception.
It aims to be a cosy place for pilgrims and travellers to
rest and recharge energy, like the old inns of the Middle
Ages.
